RESEARCH LABORATORIES, DUNDEE MEDI-PARK

The result of a fruitful collaboration between Scottish Enterprise Tayside and Ninewells Teaching Hospital, Dundee MediPark is a dedicated life science park developed to provide laboratory, production and office space to innovative biomedical, biotech or medical device companies.

Procured as a design and build contract with WH Brown Construction (Dundee) Ltd, Wellwood Leslie Architects were responsible for designing the shell and core elements of the project, allowing for the installation of extensive services infrastructure. Each floor was designed for maximum flexibility to provide units of varying sizes. The building was given a steel frame and concrete floor slabs to accommodate the complex laboratory services to be installed in subsequent fit out phases.
