Dundee Survival Group is an organisation providing long term supported accommodation for people with dependency problems. They also provide emergency accommodation for people who otherwise might find themselves in police cells and subject to legal action.
In late 2006, Hillcrest Housing Association approached Wellwood Leslie Architects to design additional accommodation for Dundee Survival Group on vacant ground adjacent to their site. The new brief required ten flats and some limited staff facilities. Dundee Survival Group are also keen to utilise renewable energy sources and have commissioned the design team to look at solutions to reduce their running costs.
