The Lochgelly Centre refurbishment project forms a significant part of the regeneration of this former mining village in central Fife. The Lochgelly Centre site is a Community Centre Complex which provides a diverse range of opportunities for local residents to become involved in arts and education projects.
As part of the wider regeneration of the town centre the refurbishment of the Lochgelly Centre is seen as a significant first step to consolidate Fife Council services in an attractive modern environment, a catalyst for further redevelopment.
Under a Fife Council framework agreement Wellwood Leslie Architects form part of the project consultancy team comprising structural engineer, civil engineer, M&E engineer, quantity surveyor and public art specialists.
