MAYFIELD SPORTS CENTRE, HIGH SCHOOL OF DUNDEE

Wellwood Leslie has been providing architectural services to The High School of Dundee for more than 20 years.
Over that time we have assisted with a variety of new build and refurbishment projects which have contributed to the maintenance and enhancement of the school’s excellent reputation.

One of the most exciting education projects we have been involved in recently has been the development of the school’s new Mayfield Sports Centre, which includes a games hall, gymnasium, dance studio and fitness room. Opened by Liz McColgan MBE in June 2006, this custom built facility has a wide range of resources which not only enable the school to provide a full PE curriculum, but also to make these superb facilities available for use by the wider community.

As well as providing outstanding sport, dance and fitness facilities, the inclusion of classroom and administration space enables the school to deliver the full PE curriculum on a single site. The school opens all of the Centre’s facilities to community sports clubs in the evenings, at weekends, and during holiday periods.
