This 1260m2 building was developed by Scottish Enterprise to provide specialist accommodation for life sciences research companies that they seek to attract to the area. The project was procured as a design and build contract undertaken by contractor WH Brown Construction (Dundee) Ltd. using Wellwood Leslie Architects for the shell and core elements of the project.
The building is intended to offer units to let for growing life sciences concerns operating in the Tayside area. Each floor plate can be split asymmetrically to provide units of differing sizes for a variety of uses.
Internal Core finishes are installed to a high standard commensurate with business park usage. The shell accommodation has been designed in order to support the installation of the extensive services infrastructure required in this sector.
The building has been fitted out for use by University of Dundee and University of St Andrews, both institutions with extensive involvement in the Life Sciences sector.
The completion of the building is part of the ongoing development of Dundee Medi-Park which is being administered by Scottish Enterprise Tayside.
