The revised proposal was to provide 45 no. new build affordable homes of varying sizes for the affordable rental sector, owned and managed by Kingdom House Association. The proposals compromised of a mix of single storey detached homes, two storey semi-detached/ terraced homes and a few two-storey, cottage flats.
The proposed external finishes to all homes are a mix of offwhite render and buff coloured facing brickwork to walls, grey and terracotta interlocking concrete tiles to roofs, with feature lined cladding panels, grey coloured window frames and doors and grey coloured fascias and soffits. Timber frame kit construction provides a high-performance building fabric and all dwellings are designed to be compliant with current technical standards including installation of highly efficient services and control systems together with the addition of zero carbon technologies such as photovoltaic panels.
All houses have been designed to fully comply with the Housing for Varying Needs legislation with barrier free access provided to either the front or rear external doorways.
