Glasgow Evangelical Church
This large-scale grade ‘A’ listed church was built in 1878 and has been occupied by various congregations through the years. It has recently been supported by the Glasgow Building Preservation Trust who administered an application for funds to the Heritage Lottery Fund under the category of Listed Places of Worship. They commissioned the design team and secured an overall budget of £450,000 including grants from other funding bodies and a substantial contribution from the church itself.
The contract scope of works included extensive stone repairs and leadwork externally as well as the refurbishment of the main auditorium internally.
The interior was re-decorated following historical research into the original colour scheme using records from 1887 in the National Library.
