Wellwood Leslie Architects is the founding member of Wellwood Leslie Group and has thriving offices in Dundee, Glasgow, and Aberdeen. The practice has a long-established history, and can trace its roots back to the 1860’s. In its current form (since the1960’s) we have offered architectural services to a broad range of clients throughout the UK.

McLean Architects joined the Wellwood Leslie Group in 2016. and now trades as Wellwood Leslie Architects from our Glasgow office. KDM Architects joined the group in July 2022 working from Dundee. Wellwood Leslie Architects is an experienced and an award-winning architectural practice with a proven track record of designing buildings in various sectors including community; education; residential; healthcare, commercial and sports and leisure throughout the United Kingdom and with KDM Architects joining the group increases the experience of our residential team.

Our residential team have in-depth understanding of site finding, site capacity studies, design to planning, technical design, sustainability and construction for new build and refurbishment projects, we also offer Section 6 certification for all residential projects. The teams diverse experience enhances our ability to develop innovative, creative building solutions for our clients.  By staying alert to technological developments, we can ensure that our designs are renowned for improved sustainability and reduced ecological impact. we are familiar with the collaboration required between design team members and project stakeholders to deliver successful developments as illustrated in this document.

Sector Leaders:

Stephen has significant experience in a wide range of sectors having completed projects in health, transportation, heritage, residential, education and sport & leisure. In recent years he has developed an interest in residential sector having been involved in several projects with housing associations, developer led project, as well as individual houses. This has allowed him to gain a significant understanding of the design and development of residential facilities and the complexities of working all types of environments and the procurement routes involved.

Stephen’s involvement in many multidisciplinary projects for high profile corporate clients nationally has given him the communication and leadership skills required to deliver complex projects on time and on budget.

Ken was former managing partner of KDM Architects which is a member of the Wellwood Leslie Group. He is a highly skilled and experienced Architect. Experienced designer of commercial, residential and industrial projects with substantial experience working in the RSL sector over the last 40 years with Hillcrest HA, Servite HA, Kingdom HA, Abertay HA, Angus HA, Perthshire HA, Caledonia HA, Cairn HA, Perth and Kinross Council and Dundee City Council.
